Photo Gallery Sweetwater Bridge and Trail

San Diego Haunted Photo gallery Sweetwater Bridge and Trail. Located off of Singer Lane, which intersects with Highway 94. The Sweetwater Bridge was built in 1929 to carry U.S. Highway 80 over the Sweetwater River in San Diego County, California. U.S. Highway 80 was eventually replaced by Interstate 8 in 1970. In 1987, the road was re-routed slightly and a new, modern bridge was built right next to it on Highway 94.

The bridge was built by Pacific Iron and Steel Co. The architecture is a fine example of early 1900’s Parker Truss bridge engineering. Unfortunately the bridge was very narrow measuring only 22.5 feet wide and 460 feet tall. Eventually the bridge became more dangerous than useful in addition to unnecessary.

The bridge has been left as a monument to early 1900’s bridges and connects with Hiking & biking routes in the San Diego National Wildlife Refuge crossing.

During the early months of covid-19 when much of San Diego was closed we took the hiking trail across the bridge and through the wildlife refuge. Ironically the first day we showed up for a hike, a small film crew and two investigators were filming a paranormal investigation of the bridge. Several online sources claim the area is haunted.

Photo Gallery Lemon Grove Memorial Park

San Diego Haunted Photo gallery Lemon Grove Memorial Park located at the intersection of 8200 block of blossom Lane and lldica street in Lemon Grove California. Lemon Grove Veterans Park grew out of Hyrum Bates’ 1987 Eagle Scout project. The park was renovated in 2013 in a joint effort between the City of Lemon Grove, Pastor David Merk of Journey Community Church, VFW Post 1512 and a group of 30 volunteers.

We had the pleasure of accidently running into the Lemon Grove Memorial Park by taking a wrong direction to a clients house. It is a testament to the ingenuity, vision and respect for history that Scout Hyrum Bates displayed in earing his Eagle Scout status.

A plaque reads, “Dedicated to all service men and woman who have served willingly, fought valiantly or died gallantly for a cause in which they believed, and a country that held dear. July 4th, 1987.

Photo Gallery Cosmopolitan Hotel Room 11

San Diego Haunted Photo gallery Cosmopolitan Hotel Room 11 “Ysadora Bandini Room”. The hotel is located at 2660 Calhoun Street, San Diego, CA 92110, USA. The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant in the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park is a registered national historic landmark, built in the early 19th century by Juan Bandini and later purchased by Albert Seeley to serve as a stagecoach hotel. In 2010, restorations and added fine dining restaurant revived the hotel to its 1870s charm, making it again a focal point of the original downtown area.

We have stayed in Room 11 “Ysadora Bandini Room several times and it never disappoints from a “ghostly” point of view.

The first time, Two male San Diego Haunted crew had a shared dream of a blanket being lifted off the foot end of the bed. The result was like a blanket tent/tunnel with a old hag like female peering from under the foot end towards the head of the persons sleeping.

The second time a male and female member of the crew were playing cards on the bed. Both heard clearly the loud sound of the dresser door opening and slamming shut. Also a strange mist seemed to form in the shower area then dissipate almost instantly.
